La cité-jardin de la Butte rouge

Highlight • Historical Site

The Butte Rouge garden city in Châtenay-Malabry is one of Sellier's major projects.

Built in three major stages, between 1931 and 1965, by architects Joseph Bassompierre-Sewrin, de Rutté, and André Arfvidson, replaced by Paul Sirvin and landscape architect André Riousse, and expanded from 1949 to 1965. It houses nearly 4,000 homes on 70 hectares, nestled in lush greenery and boasting an urban and landscaped quality that allows for easy walking, with a smooth flow between buildings, squares, and well-maintained allotments.

Thus, with its pink walls and flat roofs, the Butte-Rouge is today one of the best examples of a garden city from the 1920s and 1930s.

Take the right

Highlight • Other

You can go outside, along the bike path, but it's worth passing through here. The way out is life on the right.

Fontenay-aux-Roses, Massy

Highlight • Other

It runs well, but be very careful of cyclists and pedestrians with whom you share the road, especially at peak times. Prefer the road rather than the cycle path around Fontenay aux roses

Be careful, it's often crowded, but in the morning or evening it's very nice!! This long green path can take you to the heart of Paris via the cycle path!!! 😉
