Tönisvorst Apple Orchards

Highlight • Natural

It's impressive how far the fruit trees are distributed and the large number of fruit varieties (especially apple varieties) that grow here.

These small courtyard kiosks are now very common. You can't starve.

Nordkanal parallel to Donker Weg and the railway

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

The marked section is not asphalted, but it is easy to ride if it hasn't been raining heavily. In hot weather, however, you will also find plenty of shade here.

A great idea to float over the Niers instead of building a simple bridge. When we arrived across the river, a black cat was waiting there and boarded the ferry. Whether she has been waiting for a crossing ;-)

Today the old railway lines left from Süchteln to St.Tönis and from Willich to Mönchengladbach, first along the Niers and then back along the North Canal (Napoleon's building).

The route is perfect for those who just want to cycle in peace and quiet. However, there are not too many sights along the way.

Started in sunshine today, but it was very windy on the tour. In St. Tönis near Globus we took a break and ate a meat loaf roll.

Hello, it was a bit of a race this morning to get to our starting point. The highway was jammed with people! We decided to follow Bucky's sugges route, cutting out a few kilometers. Thanks for sharing your amazing tour.@Bucky
