Former Małdyty Manor

Highlight • Historical Site

A renovated manor building, which is now used as a hotel and restaurant, is located near the intersection of two country roads and in the immediate vicinity of the Oberland Canal. It is one of the administration buildings for the Maldeuten estate, built in the 18th and 19th centuries and designed here in the classical style. The manor house itself was destroyed in 1945 and the ruins later removed. It was 1690 for the Legation Councilor v. Houwaldt, enlarged in 1860 and redesigned in neo-baroque style in the 20th century (last German owner: Hicketier).

The stone courtyard boundary is still standing and the stone vases were placed on the gate pillars around 1860. Source: ostpreussen.net
