Very nice route. It is the northernmost of the three Lanzo Valleys. It takes its name from the fact that it has a wide valley floor of about 17 km, crossed by the Stura river.

At Pialpetta the frozen snow made me give up taking the dirt road that runs along the Stura up to Forno, I had to move onto the state road. Very nice route to tackle in a warmer season.

Salvatore did well with his gravel bike, even if some sections were, perhaps, too demanding, especially for the very bumpy surface. On the way back we decided to do a nice fast descent on the road, top speed 61km / h 😂
