Welcome to Zug. Visit the old town of Zug, founded around 1200, and stay here. The city on the lake is easy to distinguish from the city that was generously expanded in the 16th century. Four fortification towers of the last city wall are still preserved. The city is located on Lake Zug. Zug was an important freight transshipment point on the trade route between the cities of Zurich and Lucerne.
