The late Gothic church of Saint-Maurice was built in the 16th century in the shape of a Latin cross based on the Valangin collegiate church; the church tower dates from the 17th century. In the town center, some characteristic farmhouses from the 18th and 19th centuries have been preserved.

Saint Peter's Church of Engollon

Highlight • Religious Site

William of Aarberg (1378–1436), Count of Aarberg and Lord of Valangin, built a chapel in 1427 in memory of his deceased wife. The church tower dates from 1685. A significant alteration took place in 1803 with the construction of the present stone tower and the remodeling of the nave.
Well-preserved frescoes from the 14th century were discovered in 1924. The Gothic wall paintings depict episodes from the life of Christ, while the vault depicts the symbols of the Evangelists around a majestic Christ.

Saint-Martin Church, Chézard-Saint-Martin

Highlight • Religious Site

There is not much to see when driving through the small village of Chézard-Saint-Martin, but the church still stands out.

The current building of the parish church of Saint-Martin, which was mentioned in 998, dates from the 17th century. The church was restored in 1993-1994. In the center of Chézard in particular, some characteristic farms from the 17th and 18th centuries have been preserved. The schoolhouse between Chézard and Saint-Martin was built in 1901. In 1991, the new community center La Rebatte was inaugurated.
