Here is the middle station of the Weisshorn cable car, which runs from Arosa to the Weisshorn. The cable car station is a good starting point for various hikes, and the popular Bärenland adventure trail also starts nearby.

Church of the Assumption of Mary, Arosa

Highlight • Religious Site

Church of the Assumption of Mary in Arosa
The Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary in Arosa was consecrated in 1936. The stone church is furnished with wood on the inside and is red in color. It radiates an inviting warmth for celebrations and coming into contact with God.
By donating land, fundraising and collecting donations, the then Bishop Laurentius Matthias Vicenz was able to lay the foundation stone for the new building of the Catholic Church in Arosa on August 18, 1935. The building was realized together with the architect Walther Sulser (1890-1983) from Chur. The church was consecrated on November 29, 1936 in honor of the Assumption of Mary in memory of the donation of land by Beat Stoffel.
