Rhine Bend at Rheinau

Highlight (Segment) • River

Shortly after its confluence with the Thur, the Rhine forms a magnificent loop in the middle of nature. The river is never as beautiful as when it undulates through the landscapes.

Railway viaduct near Zweidlen

Highlight • Bridge

This ride was just a training ride for the big tours that are soon ahead of me. From the power station near Eglisau begins the Glatt - tour that leads to the Greifensee, which is very easy, beautiful without gradients, leads past the airport area, via Dübendorf and so you get to the very beautiful, quiet Greifensee. If you then still have enough power, you can continue Uster back to Bülach, Eglisau. The pleasant thing about it is that there are practically no inclines.

July 14, 2024,Schaffhausen – Zürich
Stage 2
We leave Schaffhausen in bright sunshine and cycle via Laufen and Dachsen along the Rhine. We pass through pretty villages: Flaach, Ellikon, Berg am Irchel. At Tössegg (where the Töss flows into the Rhine) the bridge is unfortunately closed, so we take the boat to Eglisau. Here we head back to Rhine route 2 to Rheinsfelden. We continue …

Today from Zurich to Schaffhausen always along the river "Glatt" to the "Rhein" and on to Schaffhausen train station.
Super tour with swimming stop and views of the "Rhine Falls". Then continue by train to Singen to buy a ticket with a bike to Berlin at the DB counter. Luckily it worked.
My nephew has to change his bike twice …
