After a seemingly endless climb with an average gradient of 15%, you have reached the stamping point on the Breithorn at 2451m altitude. Don't be surprised, there is no large overview board like at the other stations.

A beautiful building to look at, the stone arched bridge over the Binna from 1564. Next to the bridge there is the Restaurant zur Brücke as a good place to stop.

August 22, 2021,Mtb Stoneman Glaciara Reckingen-Breithorn-Reckingen
From Reckingen on asphalt downhill to Grengiols. From here 1,600 m on gravel up to the Breithorn (take at least 2 liters). On a gravel path down through the Binntal to Binn. Continue via Twingischlucht to Ausserbinn, then continue on gravel / cycle paths along the Rhone via Ernen, Mühlebach, Bodmen to Reckingen. Very good physical condition required.

Started at the Tunetsch campsite towards Grengiols and then the long climb to the Breithorn.
The path is usually in the forest, or like here in the fog.
There was little visibility at the top, so we set off on the long descent towards Binn to the checkpoint. The weather then got better and you could feel your fingers again …

The day was awesome🔨
The tour up to the Breithorn is quite a challenge. The view and the descent are terrific. Unfortunately we then had a frenzy in there that cost over an hour and a lot of grains.
Conclusion, at the limit of fitness, maybe I should have trained a little beforehand🤪
The rest will be going tomorrow

Today the king's stage was announced with the ascent to the Breithorn high, about 1700hm in one go. First 10km down the road to yesterday's terminus. Then the actual tour started. The first 400hm were still on asphalt, nice and relaxed to drive. But then it turned into gravel, less than 200m further the first gear was engaged with which …

So, today it was time with 3 other crazy ones we started the Stoneman Glaciara in silver today. As you can see from the elevation profile, it started right away on the Breithorn. After rolling down a little to 750m, it went up to the pass at 2,451 meters. You can test your physical and psychological limits by cranking for …

Once again I couldn't say "no" and so I ended up with Komooter Christian in Switzerland for the Stoneman Glaciara. First impression is "Endgeil". High mountains, gorges, valleys, beautiful views, long trails and climbs 😁. Everything included. The houses and villages there seem to have stood still in time 😍 just a dream 🤩👍🏻. Unfortunately, the hardships were too high …
