July 2, 2022,🇦🇹 um den Daniel
The youngsters are doing their trail tour today and we are going around the Daniel to the Plansee and via Haiterwangersee, which lies deep green between the mountain massif. Surprisingly few tourists were on the way, so we could cycle the narrow path from the Seespitze to the bridge without any problems. Great weather, great tour.

the 5 stars from Komoot are not enough

I only did this tour again to test the cycle path marked above Lake Plansee to bypass the road - but the cycle path is closed as a cycle path - great communication!

MTB trip with our youth to the Zugspitze region. From Biberwier we went through Lermoos and Ehrwald along the Loisach in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In Griesen we pedaled up the valley along the Neidernach in the direction of Plansee. Arrived at the Plansee we enjoyed the food in the Musteralpe before we continued towards Heiterwanger See. When we drove …

A nice tour, but after a long break it was quite exhausting for me.

I had actually planned this tour for sunrise, starting at Lake Plansee, but 1. I overslept and 2. there would have been no sunrise anyway. The clouds were too dense in the morning. During the day the clouds gave way and the sun burned down nicely …

Very nice tour with lots of impressions. Skilled riders can also manage it with a trekking bike. 1x 500W was just enough. Crossing the Fernpass road is a bit tricky.

As of June 11, 2025: Unfortunately, the path above Planseestraße was closed for a while, so we had to ride a section along the busy country road called Planseestraße.

Then we returned to the planned route, which was, however, partly flat. Doable for mountain bike beginners and gravel bikers. Watch out for hikers, as the path is narrow.

Started at the Seespitz campsite, over the beautiful high trail to the end of the Plansee and further downhill on a gravel road to the Neidernach. Very beautiful and varied route and landscape.
From Griesen you are on the Garmisch-Ehrwald connecting trail, past the beautiful Häselgehr waterfall.
