The sky over Lermoos is often spotted colorfully. Dozens of paragliders glide silently through the deep blue at appropriate thermal conditions.

Great tour, lots of trails and a tough climb to the pass

A super-beautiful bike tour through Weissensee, Fernsteinsee, the Way of St. James, beautiful pine forests, views...
I've already ridden the Barbarasteig Trail twice. It's always quite bumpy, as it's a hiking trail shared by the locals (and in Austria, no less!! 😮)
Finally, the Bachtltrail 👍

There was a thunderstorm on the Schafskopf at 1600 meters, there was nothing on the weather app, just sunshine. By the time I got to the gondola I was soaking wet and "cold", but I had a rain jacket, and of course the MB doesn't have any rain protection/mudguards🤣😂.
I was lucky and found shelter in the hut, about 12 …

As the title says, around the Wannig. From Ehrwald direction Biberwier. Then via the Weisensee over the via Claudia Augusta to the castle Fernstein. On the asphalt road to Nassereith and Dormitz. Parallel to the Marienbergbach unpaved to the Marienbergjoch (long steep climb). Here the descent back to Biberwier starts. Return to Ehrwald via the panoramic road.

Conclusion of our Lermoos Tour 2023... High to the Marienbergalm - crisp climb, delicious food. After a further 200m of altitude gain, there is a brilliant view towards Lermoos and to the south of the high Alps. Sweeping down a newly built trail ☠️😬
After the tour, a delicious Kirner Pils in the sunshine 🍺

Today you should pedal again yourself. So it made sense to tackle the so-called “Wannig-Runde”, which is initially oriented partly along the historic Via Claudia Augusta, which already seemed exciting to us because of historical interest and is also illustrated with some interesting information boards along the way. There are also rare "Spirken" - (mountain pines, almost tall mountain pines!) …

you could also go the other way around, but I think the tour is better in this direction. It is also possible to start from any point on the lap. Not very difficult, scenic but beautiful round
