The history of the parish in Iłów probably dates back to the 12th century. The current church was built in 1781 from the foundation of Adam Lasocki, the castellan of Sochaczew, later the marshal of the Crown Tribunal. The brick belfry with the fence and four chapels come from the first half of the 19th century. The church was completely renovated in 1868. In 1915, the building was destroyed by fire. The reconstruction, which lasted six years, was led by the builder Henryk Kudera. During World War II, the building was used by the Germans as a grain warehouse. In 1944, the building burned down again as a result of war operations, but four years later it was reconstructed by the architect Bruno Zborowski. The church burned down for the third time in 1969. The consecration of the rebuilt temple took place in 1976.
