Riepenbach waterfall and bridges

Highlight (Segment) • Waterfall

Not quite as big as the Krimmler waterfalls in Zillertal, but still very impressive. Idyllically many small waterfalls flow down between coniferous forests.

Climb difficult, but the view is worth it! You need good shoes with good grip, sneakers (which some Instagram photo-takers wear) don't really work.

Really only for experienced hikers with spring-loaded shoes

Unfortunately, we had chosen the wrong weather for the tour. The ascent was still dry - but unfortunately it started to rain at the top. The descent on the wet stones was not ideal.

Good shoes and surefootedness definitely don't hurt here. When the weather is good, the climb is always worthwhile for the best view.
Hard exit and almost no opportunity for breaks. Mountaineering and not a hike.
A little further from the hut comes the Instabrücke, known from Instagram, you can also take great photos here, if you have the leisure to …

My battery went flat where I seemed to walk dead straight on the way back. The hike is actually about 8km far: 4 up and 4 down again😅

Showing Translation

Today a real tour over hill and dale 😅

Showing Translation

Even the 4-year-old child ran the route completely alone.

Showing Translation

It was exhausting...., the path was very rocky, but the view was partly phenomenal 👌👍

Always an experience: The Olperer Hütte. The path is steep and requires physical fitness. 2 hours on a well-made path. Very stairy.
