Bear Valley - General Store and center

Highlight • Rest Area

The road to Bear Valley is maintained snow free all year. The snow tunnel to enter the general store can be an interesting sight to reach by bike ;-) The store is one of the few places in town to resupply, and can be the only store along the highway when coming up from Arnold.

Ebbetts Pass is one of the first roads you will cross after you left the Sierras at Sonora Pass. If you are lucky, there might be some trail angels around. The pass is also a historic place: Jedediah Smith, the legendary pioneer crossed the Sierra Nevada over Ebbetts Pass.
