Pisztráng Campsite

Highlight • Rest Area

I didn't stay overnight at this campsite. In dire need, I was allowed to use the restrooms after having been turned away twice before and the public restrooms at the last resort being locked. I think the receptionist recognized my distress from my frantic expression. I entered a restroom building that was among the cleanest I've ever seen at a campsite (as of June 2025). Therefore, in my opinion, it was a well-deserved highlight.

Biatorbágy, BuBa - Viaduct

Highlight • Bridge

I was surprised to find that no one has made a highlight of this yet? This place is one of the most beautiful Viaducts in the country, and moreover, a historically significant event is connected to it, and I don't even need to mention that it is one of (if not the) most spectacular parts of the BuBa (Budapest-Balaton Bicycle Route). It is a bridge in excellent condition, which you can cross by bike and admire the view, or the depth, or the surrounding mountains. What is interesting is that you cross the bridge on iron plates that don't slip. You can also admire the bridge from below (not part of the BuBa) if you take a small detour. So overall, it can be said that it is a well-maintained monument, with great utilization.

Today's stage was much shorter and first led out of Budapest for a long time and then on a fantastic and really well signposted cycle path through the hilly landscape ↗️↘️↗️↗️↘️↗️↘️ of the villages 🌻🌻🌻🍇🍇 between Budapest and Lake Balaton. My stopover: Lake Velence.

And so that it didn't get boring, I created a new mix for lunch. 😱🙈😂
