Small tour past the Prora, and then ate an ice cream in Sassnitz 😊

We started this morning without a fixed plan. A detour to the vintage car museum in Prora, then we drove to the port of Sassnitz. Strong wind and sometimes real gusts accompanied us on our tour today.
A small part of the tour leads on the country road and over two bridges. You should be alert and cautious there.

Unfortunately, a small section beyond Sassnitz has to be negotiated by road. Otherwise, there are good bike paths, and beach access is everywhere if you want to cool off. The sand gets finer the closer you get to Binz.

Started in Sassnitz and went through the harbor to the "Practice with a sea view". Admired the view from the Wissow cliffs. Through forests and across the country to Prora. A short detour to Binz. There isn't really a proper bike path at the ferry port in Sassnitz. It is signposted as a bike path, but it is more of …

That was also a tip from the nice woman from the day before.
Sassnitz was on the plan anyway, so why not take the former chalk quarry and the ruins of Dwasieden Castle with you.

There are several old chalk quarries north of Sassnitz. In the meantime, small lakes / biotopes have become of it.

The route was twice as long. The way back is not included. As my bike wasn't working properly, I hardly took any photos. You can just make out the ruins of Prora through the trees.

From Binz via Prora on well-developed cycle paths and through beautiful pine forests. A good distance behind Prora we had to switch to the road and then at the industrial port we were able to switch back to the cycle path until just before Sassnitz. From here on it is a narrow combined cycle/pedestrian path.
