The 11th stage of the Rheinsteig started today in Niederlahnstein at the train station and went through the Ruppertsklamm, here it started to rain 🌧️. We continued over the pedestrian bridge over the Lahn to Lahnstein on the heights. Here it went through the Aspich Gorge in the direction of Braubach via the Felsenweg. Here you can see the Rhine …

A normally beautiful tour. From Niederlahnstein a rather moderate tour. But I think from the other side it would have been a lot harder because of the rocky climb.
So the rock descent was a nice finish.
The coffee and cake in the youth hostel did us a lot of good when we reached our destination.

This morning we took the 🇩🇪Ticket to Niederlahnstein train station and from there we went on an adventurous tour in very nice weather. The Ruppertsklamm was not originally included in the tour suggested by Komoot. But we didn't want to miss the opportunity and spontaneously included it in our 🍀plan. Except for the climbing section, I found the tour rather boring. It was also the worst signposted stage of the Rheinsteig for me. But okay to get in again after a year of long-distance hiking.

Today the stage would have been only 8 km long. But I didn't take the train back, I walked the 5 km.
I also bought a light outdoor jacket and sent my winter clothes home by post, as it's supposed to be up to 18 degrees.
