We'd always wanted to explore Friedland. Today was the day. In beautiful, frosty winter weather, we set off. First, we walked around the mill pond and along the Datze River. Then we passed the Fengel Tower and the partially preserved city wall and ramparts. The two city gates, the Anklam and Neubrandenburg Gates, are particularly impressive.
