July 15, 2024,🇸🇮🚐🏞️ SLO-Tag 12: Kobarid ~ wunderschöne Natur (Wasserfall Veliki Kozjak, blaue Soča, hohe Berge)
After a pleasant night in the motorhome, which was less hot than we had feared, we set off for Kobarid. Here the Kozjak river flows from the mountains into the Soča and forms 6 waterfalls along its way, of which the 2 lower ones are accessible to pedestrians, a smaller one and a large one at the end of the …

As the last highlight of today in the Soča Valley, we visit the Kozjak waterfall near Kovarid. From the center, you walk down a marked footpath to the impressive Napoleon Bridge over the Soča. Along the Soča, the footpath leads past the campsite, slowly uphill and downhill to Kozjak. You soon reach the first small waterfall, which is also impressively …

A wonderful walk. Shortly after the Napoleon Bridge, on the left-hand side, after the campsite, there is a spacious car park, also for camper vans (!). Then you take the well-signposted path to the waterfall. Entry costs €5 for adults. The path is not suitable for strollers or wheelchair users! Good shoes (sneakers) are recommended. And then: enjoy 😉
