The Platkowsee lies in the Uckermark between Templin and Lychen; you can circle it from Alt-Placht. The north side has a marked hiking trail, the south side has a hiking trail that sometimes turns into a path, but is not marked but is still quite easy to walk (there are a few passages on the slope).

Today we went through wintry Brandenburg from Alt Placht around the Glambecksee and the Platkowsee. We stopped again and again - for photos or to guess at animals, because of the many tracks in the snow. In some places, surefootedness and sensible footwear are advisable.
