If the heat and the hustle and bustle on Rügen's Baltic Sea coast are too much for you, then this short hike is just the right thing. Cool shade under mighty trees (mainly linden) and (almost) no one. The way to the peninsula was lined with ancient cherry trees, which impress with their size.
