A great spot for the kids to burn off the remaining energy after walking up the hill. This area is full of winding duck boarding, and you have to bob and weave between trees and bushes, there's wood sculptures too. It reminds of a dark fairy-tale forest.

Quaint Campsite with Sunrise Views

Highlight • Rest Area

Quaint little campsite with basic amenities and glorious views. The owners are elderly and prefer you to book (I didn’t) but are an interesting and chatty couple and I had a great stay here. £10 for bikepacking. There are electric hook ups as well, and toilets and showers in the barn, plus other cleaning facilities in there too, but I think those might be for the truckers and other ppl who stop round the back, I didn’t ask. On that note, the lorries do tend to leave early (04.30ish) so bear that in mind if you’re a light sleeper. It didn’t bother me though, I wanted to be up early anyway, and there was a fantastic sunrise!
