Burry Port Harbour

Highlight • Viewpoint

Burry Port's harbour is tide-restricted and fascinating to see when it's all but dry at low tide. The marina lies to the east of Pembrey Country Park and is on the Millennium Coastal Path and Wales Coast Path.

This seaside town also has a fascinating piece of history. In 1928, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic, landing here on the water, at Burry Port.

Converted from an old railway line once used for transporting coal, this brilliant traffic-free shared trail links Burry Port to Pembrey and the nature reserve beyond.

Enjoy this leafy, well-surfaced track past the marshes and through the old railway bridges.
