Windermere West Shore Gravel Trail

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Windermere West Shore gravel trail offers a peaceful, scenic route along the western edge of Lake Windermere. It’s mostly gravel, making it ideal for hybrid or mountain bikes. The trail passes through lush woodland and open views of the lake, perfect for spotting wildlife and enjoying nature. You'll find several spots to rest and picnic.

Fantastic views over Weise Een Tarn to the Langdales and the Coniston range. We spotted red deer, hopefully you will be as lucky!

Beautiful and relatively not too much hardwork to get up there!

Moss Eccles Tarn

Highlight • Natural

One of my favourite places to ride to from Grizedale with some awesome bridleways near by. On a nice clear summers day this is an incredible place to stop for lunch, and it’s usually relatively quiet, obviously a little busier at the weekends. If you’re feeling brave go for a mid ride dip. The views are incredible and well worth it.
