West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village

Highlight • Settlement

This reconstruction of an Anglo-Saxon village really allows you to step back in time. The historically-accurate buildings are situated on the site of an early Anglo-Saxon village and are surrounded by 125 acres of unspoilt countryside. There are also indoor displays where you can observe artifacts found in the area. Entry costs £6 for adults, £3 for children (5-16), £4 for concessions, and £16 for families. For more information, visit: weststow.org/Anglo-Saxon-Village.

All Saints Church, Icklingham

Highlight • Religious Site

All Saints is a Grade I-listed church with a distinctive thatched-roof. The church, which has 11th century origins but largely dates to the 14th century, has not been used for over 100 years. As such, it is one of the best examples of an unspoilt Suffolk church you can observe. There is some beautiful stained glass in the church, too, which has miraculously survived since the 14th century.
