Bluebell Path

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Tricky to find path through the woods, masked at both ends by private properties, but the path is there. Great way (but more strenuous) to get to the chain bridge & horseshoe falls as an alternative to the simple canal walk. Masses of Bluebells in the spring, in places.

Llangollen Town

Highlight • Settlement

Llangollen is a town and community, situated on the River Dee, in Denbighshire, Wales. Its riverside location forms the edge of the Berwyn range, and the Dee Valley section of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the easternmost point of the Dee Valley Way being within the town.

The Llangollen Bridge is a grade 1 listed structure in the centre of the town. It crosses the River Dee. There has been a bridge here since 1284 but the current bridge dates back to the 12th or 13th century. It's doubled in width since it was first built.

Llangollen Canal

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

The walk down the llangollen canal is very well accessible. It's beautiful and you seen horse drawn boats every so often. The water was beautifully clear!
