Haughmond Abbey

This ruined, medieval abbey retains an impressive presence. Significant sections of the Augustinian abbey remain in place, including some dating back to the 12th century. The abbey sits in beautiful surroundings below Haughmond Hill near Shrewsbury and offers far-reaching views.

Managed by English Heritage, the abbey is free to visit throughout the year although winter opening hours are reduced.
