Sommerfrischeweg Forest Path

Highlight • Trail

The Sommerfrischeweg is a nice alternative to the paved Mühlweg. Although there is more up and down here, you walk on forest floor and are not disturbed by cars.
However, …

Amtsschreibermühle

Highlight • Monument

The Amtsschreibermühle is the third mill coming from Kursdorf. It consists of a large manorial house, which is not surrounded by forest like the other mills. A wide, large area of grass extends in front of this mill.

Rest area at the Schlössermühle

Highlight • Rest Area

At the corner of Langes Tal and Mühltal, opposite the Schössersmühle, there is a bench with a stone "table" in front of it. The watercourse from the Long Valley flows past in front of your nose.

Robert's Mill

Highlight • Historical Site

The last or first mill, depending on which direction you walk through the Christmas Valley. There's also a Christmas market here on the third weekend of Advent, with delicious treats.

An entertaining hiking tour on the edge of Eisenberg. It goes along partially modernized mills. Some of the mills offer catering facilities.

Hiking tour through the Mühltal valley near Eisenberg. 16 hiking enthusiasts participated. Thank you for the wonderful day.

Around 1900 there were 10 mills in the Eisenberg Mill Valley, most of which can still be seen, even if you can hardly guess what their original character was. Some have seen better days, others have been preserved by providing catering.
In any case, the hike is very beautiful and recommended.

Very nice round trip along the Mühltal. You either walk the paths or the streets. But always nice in the green. Between the mills you can also switch between path and road, so a variety of surfaces is possible. Some mills are managed. At the parish mill, for example, there are delicious trout and smoked meats.

Yesterday we were at the 49th EISENBERGER Mühltallauf. Past the Robertsmühle, the Schössersmühle, the Amtsschreibermühle, the Walkmühle and Pfarrmühle to the Froschmühle 🐸 This is where the runners of the EISENBERGER Mühltallauf started in both directions. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Otherwise I only know the Mühltal in winter with light and mulled wine 😁
