Protestant Church Bad Ragaz

Highlight • Religious Site

Evangelical Reformed Church Bad Ragaz from 1890
On March 8, 1863, the parish was founded and the first elected pastor was hired. A few years later, Bernhard Simon, the founder of the spa town, moved to Ragaz and had a prayer room set up for German and English-speaking services. The young parish soon set itself the goal of building its own church. It commissioned the well-known Berlin architect Johann Vollmer to plan the new building. On October 19, 1890, the church was completed and ceremoniously inaugurated under the construction management of architect Ferdinand Wachter.
