From Kalkhorst, a small town in the north-west of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, near the former inner-German border, our route took us along country roads and good cycle paths along the Bay of Lübeck, where on May 3, 1945 the "Cap Arcona" with about 5000 concentration camp Prisoners was sunk by British bombers until Travemünde (Priwall).

Cycle tour to the Priwall with the harbor ferry. Continue along the Passat past the beautiful beach to Groß Schwansee. Return trip via Pötenitz to Travemünde

A nice little round trip to the former inner German border.
It is advisable to stop off at Cafe Redlich in Harkensee, they have super delicious there 🍰.

A little tip... For the route you have to take a ferry from Travemünde to get there and back. The price for an adult is €1.90 and for a bike €1.10. The route along the coast is great to ride on a gravel bike. Have fun on the tour...

Very nice tour. Unfortunately, the worst part of the cycle path goes along the Baltic Sea/through the forest and is very busy. Then overland excellently developed cycle paths.
