We started at Herkules in great hiking weather.
The day ticket for parking costs 5 euros (no cash at the machine).
Up to Dörnberg, the route is identical to the Habichtswaldsteig. We cross a meadow past the Silbersee lake and then reach a trail that winds up to the Dörnberg plateau, 579 m high.

Today we hiked what is probably the most beautiful stage of the Kassel Steig. The Helfensteine and Dörnberg are always worth a hike, and today there was almost nothing going on up there, great. Further on to Igelsburg, we even met Komootler Brauschb himself. Sorry, I forgot his name. Maybe we can do a mountain bike tour sometime. Cheers 🖖🏼
