Not far from St. Blasien, the Lehenkopfturm offers a magnificent panoramic view of the entire surrounding landscape.

The tower was built in a closed wooden construction and the wide wooden staircase inside has two intermediate floors. Nice little introductory round to my Black Forest vacation. The cathedral in St. Blasien is really impressive with its huge dome and the classical interior design. I was not so enthusiastic about the Lehenkopfturm. It is more of a castle tower than a classic lookout tower and only offers four rather small, barred windows at the top. The view was …
