Arrived at the Edenkobener Hut just before the rain, precision landing.
Forsthaus Heldenstein: We recently went to eat here. Not the roar, not even the Riesling spritzer. But significantly more expensive than in the PWV huts. Amicitia closed due to Corona. Nello nice, but only limited food offer, especially for those who do not eat pork, vegetarians or even vegans. …

At the beginning of November we started our hike in the beautiful Modenbachtal. First we walked to the Nellohütte, which fortunately was open.

Then we went up to the Kohlplatz and from there downhill again into the Edenkoben valley. At the Naturfreundehaus Edenkoben we sat outside and enjoyed the sun and the great tarte flambée.

In the area of Forsthaus Heldenstein and Steigerkopf there are many monuments related to the Prussian-Austrian coalition war against revolutionary France 1792 - 1797.
After the hike, I climbed back up to the Nello hut because I was on hut duty the next day 😊
