The church was inaugurated on September 21, 1890. The architect of the church was Vinzenz Statz. Since then, rosary devotions and prayer hours for the deceased as well as baptisms and once a year on April 5th, the anniversary of St. Vincent's death, have been held there on request.
In 1966 the choir was rebuilt by St. Donatus. In 1973 the deaneries were redistributed and the parishes of Brand and Forst have formed their own deanery since then.
