Weser Cycle Path Between Gieselwerder and Lippoldsberg

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Very nice part of the Weser cycle path with a wonderful view of the Weser far away from the roads between Gieselwerder and Lippoldsberg

Gieselwerder Castle

Highlight • Castle

Old 'castle' right on the bike path. With a possibility to rest directly at the old wall.

Really good bike path with better asphalt than the road: D (I tested it!) Bike path nice and wide, so that you can overtake the e-bikes well! It's fun to drive!

Bad Karlshafen

Highlight • Settlement

The spa town of Bad Karlshafen is located at the mouth of the Diemel and Weser. The cozy town with its baroque houses was founded by Landgrave Karl von Hessen-Kassel in 1699 as a settlement for French Huguenots who had fled. The old harbor basin with the distinctive white warehouse was reconnected to the Weser. Since spring 2019, travelers have again been able to get to the city via the Weser in proper style.

It's beautiful to see how the Weser River blends with nature in Herstelle. The panorama is breathtaking; a visit is highly recommended, whether by bike or on a hike.

Villa Löwenherz

Highlight • Restaurant

Lauenförde, gateway to Solling and connected to Beverungen and thus North Rhine-Westphalia by means of a bridge. This is of course also where the "Villa Löwenherz" is located, the meeting point for (motorized) two-wheelers.
