Very nice bike trail in the forest. I've cycled here a few times, on my tours from Dannenberg to Hanover and back, the route is now one of my favorite routes, you can cycle very relaxed here.

The Misselhorn Heath unfolds an almost mystical atmosphere as its vast expanses spread out in gentle waves of heather and silver grass. During the flowering season, the landscape transforms into a shimmering sea of violet and purple, interspersed with the deep green silhouettes of gnarled juniper bushes. Light veils of mist, hovering over the sandy soil in the early morning, lend the heath an air of mystery, as if it were guarding an ancient secret. Those who glide along the quiet paths by bicycle are immersed in a world of colors, scents, and serene vastness – a landscape that both soothes and enchants, like a piece of timeless natural poetry.

Experiencing this unique landscape by bicycle is particularly intense – a tranquil yet exhilarating highlight where the colors of the heath, the vastness of the plains, and the special atmosphere of the Misselhorn Heath become unforgettable.

A treat for nature lovers and social avoiders. Pure nature, forest, hidden sand holes, even the occasional cobblestone in the woods. Wide tires are a delight. Hardly any human souls or infrastructure for the first 32 km.

On our last day, we once again decided to do a tour from the Celle cycling guide.
The tour went through forests and along well-paved dirt roads and almost car-free back roads under mostly cloudy skies.
The route was certainly not as spectacular as the one through the blooming heath in sunshine, but it was still very, very beautiful. It …

"Through heathland, forest and Örtzetal" - That's the title of the themed tour in the bike guide for the Südheide Nature Park. From Hermannsburg we went along the Örtze to Sülze. From there via Feuerschützenborstel back to the canoe jetty in Eversen, our break point. Then through shady forest to the former forester's house Miele. Continue on the Citronenberg past …

A short bike tour in the north of the Celle district. We started in Eversen. We passed Miele and over the Zitronenberg (approx. 120m). We went to the Severloher Heide, where we had a rest. In Hermannsburg we had a cake with plenty of cream on top. That was necessary because shortly after the rest I dropped my cell phone …

Today, at the end of our short vacation in the southern heath, we drove back to Hermannsburg via forest and heathland paths past ponds and the Örtze via Oldenburg. Despite the cloudy sky, it stayed dry. The roads were good to drive. We had a nice week.

Nice tour starting from Herrmannsburg in the Südheide. Unfortunately only seen a little heather. But afterwards we ate delicious at the Italian restaurant La Taverna.

This very varied tour offers everything you want to experience in the Südheide Nature Park: smaller and larger heather areas, quiet lakes, shady sections through extensive forests, attractive farms in the Lower Saxon architectural style and every now and then a view of the meandering river Örtze.

The suggestion for this tour comes from here: lueneburger-heide.de/natur/tour/8342

Nice tour. Sometimes sandy paths.
Small heather areas visible.
