Brecherspitz West Ridge

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The Brecherspitz ridge is a wonderful mountain hiking experience. You should be free from giddiness and sure-footedness, but you don't need climbing skills. There are wonderful views of the Spitzing and Schliersee as well as the Almkessel, which surrounds the ridge.

Brecherspitz

Highlight • Summit

Great tour to the Brecherspitz, but goes up the mountain from the alpine side. The tour from the car park at the mountain saddle is only for experienced hikers who also want to climb. There are about two to three places on the five meter high mountain face that have to be climbed without safety gear. The walls are grippy and easy to overcome in summer.

View of Schliersee

Highlight • Viewpoint

This is a really lovely welcome view. Like a good welcome drink when you walk in a spa, but just mountains instead. The first Mountain View of the hike if you come from Neuhaus. But as many other hikers said, the view is even better on the peak, Brecherspitz 😎

Highlight • Waterfall

After the Josefstaler waterfalls you can take a nice long break here at the Hachelbach. The children can play by the stream and the parents can relax.

Unfortunately, the battery was empty shortly before the end. Of course we went down the path over the Spitzingsattel waterfalls.

From a parking lot at the playground, I first walk through Neuhaus. But it gets interesting as soon as the road ends. Along the Hahelbach I come to the waterfalls, which are spread out over several places. Because of yesterday's rain, the stream carries a relatively large amount of water. Nice photo opportunities.
From the small wooden bridge, it goes …
