We hiked the route today. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend it!! After a little more than a quarter of the way, you go straight into the woods.
Fallen trees, paths torn away by landslides, sometimes you had to climb past ropes stuck in the ground in narrow places. It was a real climbing adventure and in places really dangerous. Strangely, the path is also closed from the opposite side of the car park, but not if you start from the car park.

Very very technical on the back side, the wooded side of Lagoa Verde. But doable if you use extreme caution. We are 66 & 72 and did great. But we are experienced hikers. I LOVED this challenge! Trails were muddy as it poured rain here the day before. Today is 14 October 2024.
