Wieniawskiego (Storbeckstrasse), Konopnicka (Dunkerstrasse), Brodzińskiego (Clarastrasse) streets - branching south from Mickiewicza (Kreckowerstrasse) - are the oldest part of today's Pogodno (formerly Braunsfelde). A district that was established at the end of the 19th century. In an empty, sandy area far from the city, a housing estate was planned based on a checkerboard street system. Braunsfelde, unlike the previously established exclusive districts of Westend and Neu Westend, was intended for the middle class. Most of the houses built at that time have survived to this day, some of them carefully restored.
The name of the Braunsfelde estate comes from Otto Braun Senior (died in 1907), who in the memories of the first inhabitants of the estate was called its founder, he was one of the first to build a house in Braunsfelde (Storbeckstr. 7).
