Elbląg bus station is located directly on Plac Dworcowy and is an important hub for regional and interregional bus connections.

The magnificent Gründerzeit tenement house, built in 1897, opposite the train station is known as „Dom Kataryniarza“ (Barrel Organ House).
The name goes back to the legend of a barrel organ player who is said to have earned the money for the construction with his music.
Particularly interesting: Emil and Emma Drange, Angela Merkel's great-grandparents, lived here from 1910 onwards.
