Roman bridge of Luco de Jiloca

Highlight • Bridge

The Roman bridge of Luco de Jiloca joins both banks of the Pancrudo River and was part of the Roman road that linked César Augusta and Cástulo. It is dated in the I century, it may be later, and it has been recently restored. The arrangement of its arches and spillways indicate that it was designed for the flooding of the river, rather than to save its usual course.

Luco de Jiloca

Beautiful and quiet town in the interior of Teruel that is located on the banks of the Jiloca River. Within its heritage is the picturesque Mudejar-style church and its iconic medieval bridge with three arches that crosses the river.

Burbáguena

Highlight • Settlement

Settled on the banks of the Jiloca River, this beautiful and quiet town in Turol is worth visiting. There are records of it in documents dating from the year 1156 at that time called "Burbaca" and it is still unknown for sure if its origin is Arab or pre-Roman. From here you can start several hiking trails, some towards the interior of Teruel like the one that runs through Luco de Jiloca, and others towards the interior of Zaragoza, a neighboring province.

Báguena

Highlight • Religious Site

In this charming town, the Mudejar tower of its parish church stands out above all. You can also find numerous palatial houses (one of them, Casa Lucías, with the longest façade in Teruel, in danger of demolition), the Gothic-Baroque convent of San Valentín and, crowning the town, its 14th-century Gothic-civil castle and Templar origins.
