The route first heads out of Erfurt along the Gera River. I took the usual paths and encountered a few cyclists. From Marienthal, I head left along the Gera River to Molsdorf, definitely repeatable and incredibly beautiful. In Molsdorf, I switch to the cycle ring – it remains gravelly – to Eischleben and Kirchheim. From then on, it becomes quieter …
