It was protected by a 1735 meter long and up to 7 meter high fieldstone wall, which has survived the changing times and is today Templin's greatest structure. The ring of walls encloses the medieval town center. With the three city gates visible from afar, Templin has what is probably the most beautiful medieval city fortification in northern Germany. Due to the "Wiekhäuser" built at regular intervals, Templin achieves the impression of a particularly large number of towers. You can take a wonderful stroll along the lovingly renovated fortifications with the three Gothic brick gates, two towers and 47 Wiek houses.

Pulverturm Templin
