A lovely looking campsite with good facilities. Opposite is The Parlour Cafe/Restaurant where they have a cider bar with the option to takeaway. They also serve pizza. However, food is not served on a Monday.

Modbury Farm Shop

Highlight • Structure

What a lovely farm shop: great coffee and tea, plus fresh milk straight from the farmer, and much more. All this in a cozy courtyard with chickens and roosters. You should definitely stop here....

West Bay Harbour

Highlight • Settlement

Part of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, West Bay is a beautiful harbour settlement. Originally designed as a commercial harbour for nearly Bridport to export fishing nets, West Bay declined in importance with the advent of the railways. Not a natural harbour and exposed to the south, over the centuries many attempts have been made to prevent it from silting up and to repair storm damage.

Today, West Bay is a thriving fishing harbour popular with tourists. With a wonderful beach and impressive cliffs, it's well worth visiting. It should be noted that it's part of an eroding landscape and cliff falls have occurred in recent years so always respect warnings and signage.

Atlas

Highlight • Rest Area

After hitting a massive pothole and destroying our tyre and tube, Chris in Atlas Sports/cycles kept the shop open late so we could get a replacement. Chris, you are amazing. I recommend Atlas for their friendliness, range of goods and very affordable prices. Always support your LBS, people 👍😊
