Minster Church of St Andrew, Plymouth

Highlight • Religious Site

The great bell tower (“Yogge’s Tower”) and many of its memorials survive intact, the bells having been cast in the 16th century to celebrate Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the Globe (including his landing in California on 17th June 1579). The modern stained glass windows were designed by the distinguished post-War artist John Piper, who similarly designed windows for the new Cathedral at Coventry.

Sutton Harbour Marina

Highlight • Rest Area

Plymouth's Sutton Harbour Marina is home to around 420 boats of different shapes and sizes. The Marina is one of the UK's best sailing destinations. It is also a pleasant place to stroll around and enjoy one of the restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you visit in July, you might be lucky enough to see the Sutton Harbour Classic Boat Rally. Rosie's Rascals Café

Highlight • Rest Area

The coolest bike cafe in Plymouth: serving breakfast, lunch, origin coffee, nice cakes, and ride snacks.

The cafe is adorned with bicycles of many disciplines including some beautiful classic 90s mountain bikes.

With plenty of riders milling around at the weekend you can tell this is destination, start, and the mid point of many a social/cafe ride.

If you've ridden to the cafe naked (again?! what's wrong with you?) fear not as they sell plenty of clothes and riding kit at the back, as well as tubes and the usual repair stuff that can save a ride. Check it out!
