Amazing coffee. The cafe is tucked behind the buildings on the main road. Follow the signs. The pour over coffee is out of this world.

The Headington Shark

Highlight • Monument

The Headington Shark is a rooftop sculpture located at New High Street, Headington, Oxford, England, depicting a large shark embedded head-first in the roof of a house.

Placed by a local radio presenter in 1986 was done so as a statement to "Express someone feeling totally impotent and ripping a hole in their roof out of a sense of impotence and anger and desperation... It is saying something about CND, nuclear power, Chernobyl and Nagasaki".

After initial objections to its installation, the local area got behind the shark to prevent its removal. There are now plans to have the building listed.
