A nice path throw a former railway tunnel, its get quite cold so make sure you cycle quick or bring a jacket.

Bench at Trans Pennine Trail Junction, Oxspring

Highlight • Rest Area

A small bench at a TPT junction in Oxspring, near Penistone. It always feels like it's a good stop when I'm cycling to or from Barnsley. One autumn there were some wild tomatoes growing between the bench and the fencing behind it.

This awesome little food van served us really good bacon butties and a nice cup of tea.

Really worth stopping by, although do check opening times as currently closed Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All other days it's open from 9am to 3pm.

Founded in 1951, the Peak District was the first area to become an official national park in the UK. Its 555 square miles (1,444 km2) extends across Derbyshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire. With a huge amount of wildlife diversity and pretty gray-stone villages heralding back to the UK's industrial era, the Peak District is a fantastic destination to cycle.
