Glinice Water Tower in Radom

Highlight • Monument

The water tower was built in 1926-1927. It was built in one of the highest points of the city. It held 1,570 cubic meters of water, has a diameter of 12 meters and a height of 2 meters. In 2009-2011, a major renovation was carried out, transforming the tower into an office building. During this renovation, the water tank was removed and 7 floors were separated.

Radom Small Ghetto

Information board on the outskirts of the Small Ghetto. In April 1941, the Germans established a ghetto in Radom. Two ghettos were established, the so-called Large Ghetto (located near the Old Town) and the Small Ghetto in the Glinice district. The Small Ghetto functioned until the night of August 4/5, 1942, when the Germans drove the Jews out of their apartments, chasing them to a railway siding. During this action, from 600 to 700 Jews were murdered. The rest were "loaded" into cattle wagons and taken to the Treblinka II extermination camp.

Jan Kochanowski Monument in Radom

The company operated in the years 1905-1939 on Dolna Street (currently T. Mazowiecki). Then its buildings housed shoe factories: "Bata" and "Radoskór".

The bentwood furniture style was initiated in the 1830s by Michael Thonet. The occasional table presented is listed in the company catalog under the number T3.

On the table – regional products: a porcelain cup from Ćmielów and a spoon from Gerlach from Drzewica, as well as a Radomianka cookie, known by this name not only in the Radom region.
