That's what I call sensible recultivation: An old railway line from the colliery traffic of the time was converted into a very recommendable cycle path. There are also plenty of opportunities to take a break with a beautiful panorama.

The listed headframe above Shaft 1 and the associated shaft hall today serve as a reminder of the former Sterkrade mine. The foundation took over the industrial monument in 1997.

On this part of the "green path" trees 🌳🌳 form a beautiful avenue. In autumn 🍂 🍁☀️this part will make a nice picture.

Via the HOAG-Trasse, the former railway of the steelworks, today a cycle path, we went from Oberhausen to the landscape park in Duisburg. In the park there is a former smelting works. Today there is a climbing garden, a climbing park of the German Alpine Club Section Duisburg, gardens and the old industrial plants.

...after weeks, finally back on the bike 😃🚴🏼‍♂️, a short test ride to see if it would work 😵‍💫. It was tiring, but I managed.

Since they were "working" in the tunnel again on Sunday, I naturally had to go and check it out 📸 (or rather, ride it). The green path was slippery in places ❄️, but the weather …

Unfortunately, the battery of my smartphone gave up its ghost there, so that the way back through Hamborn (a bit …

I thought too long about whether to go left or right past the construction site and suddenly, my front wheel is in the gravel bed... in the pouring rain, if you wear glasses, you're screwed...🌧👓
