Innerste Cycle Route near Hildesheim

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

The route of the Innerste Cycle Path leads from the Innerstequelle over the Oberharzer mountain meadows through the steeply cut valley with the lively bubbly Innerste. Between Wildemann and Langelsheim, the route runs on the former railway embankment. In Ruthe, near Sarstedt, the Innerste flows into the leash after 105 km.

Super-developed bike paths along the Innerste. I followed the cycle path all the way to the Harz Mountains. A real adventure and to be recommended! Again and again you have wonderful views.

Marienburg Castle

Highlight • Castle

The Hildesheim Marienburg was once a late medieval moated castle. For a long time it was a farm. Today it is part of the University of Hildesheim (cultural studies and aesthetic communication).

There is no better weather for a bike tour. The ice cream was delicious as always.

After crossing the Hildesheim Forest, it was quite comfortable: First we drove above the Alme valley, then through the Lammetal to Badse and finally we went back through the Innerstetal. Others also like the route, there were quite a few cyclists on the move.

How lucky that the weather cooperated so well.☺️ The wind was moderate and the temperatures were still pleasant. The Hofcafe in the Marienburg Domain was closed, but we were lucky at Viva at Calenberger Graben. It's nice to sit outside and inside and the cake and coffee were very good.

Today I went to Diekholzen again and through the forest to Petze. Thanks to the construction of a large drinking water basin, the route down to Petze is really great to ride. I will definitely use this alternative to the Roter Berg more often. Although the section through a pine forest was a bit spooky and I could hear the …

At the beginning we had a cool 2°C, but thanks to the southerly headwind it felt more like 0°C despite the sun. 🥶So it was nice that we were able to warm up again in Cafe Engelke in Diekholzen. 🥐☕. Important for day trippers: 👆 On Saturdays the cafe closes at 1:00 p.m., but on Sundays it is open until …

From Grafelde to the Petze elevated tank.. then downhill to Diekholzen.. the old railway line to the cafe at the Marienburg domain. After a delicious coffee at Reinhard's expense *grins further on the Innerste to Badse (ice cream shop) and via the secret path to Almstedt and home to Grafelde.. Conclusion: super nice round .. everything included: strong uphill and …

Today again a round over Bad Salzdetfurth ....... the rapeseed starts to bloom and the cherry blossom is also strong. Wonderful weather and a pleasant smell in the forest and field. Ice cream was delicious and there were a lot of nice people around, it was a nice afternoon
